Project overview

The project comprises a significant renovation of the production area of solid oral pharmaceutical products. The technological investment in our production processes, in this highly competitive area, is critical to ensure the structured growth of the company's manufacturing activity in the coming years. The project aims to create one of the most advanced production areas in the country, adding extensive use of state-of-the-art technology to a redesigned layout according to the most demanding international standards. A key point of the project is to automate the entire compression and capsule filling area, creating the first autonomous production area in these pharmaceutical specialties. The type of design proposed for FARMALABOR's new solids production area was studied in detail with the assistance of national and international expert consultants, according to the highest standards available to date.

Project overview

The project's objective is to increase our installed capacity and operational competitiveness, boosted by the optimization of our production and energy resources and the adoption of advanced information management technologies that enable automation, integration and timely availability of information for our decision-making processes.

The project aims to create one of the most advanced production areas in the country, by incorporating extensive use of state-of-the-art technology to a redesigned layout, in accordance with the highest international standards. A key point of the project is to automate the entire compression and capsule filling area, creating the first autonomous production area in these pharmaceutical specialties. The actual result of this expansion, taking into account the diversity of our products and formulations, can be proved by the variation in the GPV (Gross Production Value), estimated at approx. EUR 9,600,000 euros between 2017 and 2023, which corresponds to an increase of almost 55% in activity.
