Indications
Cicloviral® cream is an OTC medicine containing acyclovir as its active substance. It is an antiviral drug, indicated for the treatment of cold sores resulting from Herpes Simplex virus type 1 infection.
Posology
Apply to the affected area 5 times a day, that is, every 4 hours. It is not necessary to apply during the night. If you forget to apply the cream, do it as soon as you remember and then continue as before. Continue treatment for four days (4 x 5). If your cold sore has not healed by the end of this time, you can continue the treatment for another six days. If healing does not occur after 10 days, or if lesion gets worse, you should visit your doctor.
Contraindications
Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to acyclovir or another component of this medicine.
