Project Description
Topical therapies enable the development of innovative pharmaceutical solutions that are easy to administer and potentially customisable. However, topical dosage forms such as creams, ointments and lotions present certain limitations in terms of stability, skin permeation and compatibility between active substances.
Medinfar’s project proposes the development of a new modular formulation system for topical administration, designed as a cross-cutting technology platform for the development of dermatological medicinal products. This platform will enable multiple active substances to be combined within a single medicinal product, while improving skin permeation, physicochemical compatibility and formulation stability.
The project will focus on galenic innovation and formulation engineering, particularly on the development of a modular emulsifying system for the formulation of combinations of active substances for topical administration.

Objectives
Medinfar’s project aims to develop the production of new products or introduce significant improvements to existing production through the application, in an industrial setting, of knowledge and results arising from R&D (Research and Development).
