INDICATIONS
Cetix® Spray Nasal is an OTC medicine indicated for the prevention and treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (“hay fever”) and allergic or non-allergic perennial rhinitis (all year round) in adults and young people over the age of 18. Relieves allergic symptoms of hay fever and other allergies (allergies to animals, mites and moulds), such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose and stuffy nose, for up to 24 hours.
Cetix® Spray Nasal contains budesonide as an active substance, a glucocorticosteroid with local anti-inflammatory activity that when applied daily to the nasal mucosa (inner part of the nose), reduces inflammation and swelling of the nasal mucosa associated with exposure to allergens (which causes allergies).
Cetix® Spray Nasal is sold in a 120-dose vial (each dose (spray) contains 64 micrograms budesonide).
POSOLOGY/INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The recommended dose is one application in each nostril, preferably in the morning. In more severe cases, or if you do not feel any improvement with daily administration, you can increase the dose to 2 daily applications (one application in each nostril, in the morning and at night).
Instructions for Use:
- Blow your nose
- Shake the canister
- Remove the protective cap
- Hold the canister upright and insert the tip in one nostril, covering the other with your finger, ensuring that the canister tip is away from the nasal septum
- Press down on the canister firmly with your fingers, spraying the nostril as you inhale; then exhale through the mouth
- Repeat the process in the other nostril
- After each use, put the protective cap on
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use Cetix® Spray Nasal if you are hypersensitive to its active substance or to any of the excipients in the medicine, if you have an untreated localized infection that affects the nasal mucosa or if you are under the age of 18 (unless prescribed by your doctor).

CETIX Spray Nasal is recommended for the prevention and treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (“hay fever”) and allergic or non-allergic perennial rhinitis (all year round) in adults and young people over the age of 18. Relieves allergic symptoms of hay fever and other allergies (allergies to animals, mites and moulds), such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose and stuffy nose, for up to 24 hours. If symptoms do not improve after 14 days, you should see your doctor. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the drug's excipients. Localized untreated infection that affects the nasal mucosa. Age below 18 years (unless prescribed by the doctor).
