Indications
Mucodrenol® is a cough expectorant syrup, which contains ambroxol hydrochloride (6 mg/ml) as an active substance. It acts as a mucolytic in combination with the antibacterial treatment of respiratory infections, in cases of bronchial hypersecretion.
Posology
The recommended dose is:
- Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml, 2 times/day
- Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5 ml, 2-3 times/day
- Children aged 2 to 6 years: 2.5 ml, 3 times/day
- Children aged 1 to 2 years: 2.5 ml, 2 times/day
Contraindications
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any other component of this medicine, if you suffer from gastroduoenal ulcer. You should not take it concomitantly with antitussives.
