Indications
Reumoxican® is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAI) cream for topical use containing 10 mg piroxicam as an active substance per 1 g of cream. Recommended for pain relief, alleviating symptoms of inflammation and swelling in the following cases:
- Mild to moderate muscle pain
- Posttraumatic pain or inflammation of tendons (tendonitis), ligaments, muscles and joints (sprains, dislocations and bruises)
- Mild to moderate rheumatic pain, typical of the acute phases of chronic degenerative joint disease (osteoarthrosis), such as: cervicarthrosis (which causes neck pain), lumbarthrosis (which causes lower back pain), gonarthrosis (which causes knee pain)
Posology
Apply 1 gram (10 mg piroxicam) of Reumoxican on the affected area, 2 to 3 times a day. After application, massage gently until cream is fully absorbed by the skin.
Contraindications
Reumoxican should not be administered to patients who have previously shown hypersensitivity to its active substance, piroxixam, or to any of the excipients in the product. There is a possibility of cross hypersensitivity with acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that may induce symptoms of asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or hives. REUMOXICAN is an OTC medicinal cream whose active substance is 10 mg/g piroxicam. Indications: Recommended for pain relief, alleviating symptoms of inflammation and swelling in the following cases: mild to moderate muscle pain; Acute musculoskeletal disorders, such as post-traumatic pain or inflammation of tendons (tendonitis), ligaments, muscles and joints (sprains, dislocations and contusions); mild to moderate rheumatic pain, typical of the acute phases of chronic degenerative joint disease (osteoarthrosis), such as cervicarthrosis, which causes neck pain, lumbarthrosis, which causes lower back pain and gonarthrosis, causing knee pain. If you do not feel better or get worse after 7 days, you should see a doctor. External use (apply on skin). Apply REUMOXICAN on the affected area (about 3 cm of cream from the tip of the tube), 2 to 3 times a day. Massage gently until cream is fully absorbed by the skin. Do not use REUMOXICAN if you are allergic to piroxicam or any other of its ingredient and/or if acetylsalicylic acid or other anti-inflammatory drugs have caused symptoms of asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or hives.
