Fast-acting drug for treatment of pain and inflammation. Recommended for children aged 12 years or older, adolescents and adults. Available in 20 and 60-tablet packs.

Indications

Trifene® 200 is a medicine that contains 200 mg Ibuprofen as an active substance. A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves mild to moderate pain and lowers fever. Recommended in the following situations: headache, toothache, menstrual cramps, mild to moderate muscle pain, post-traumatic pain (associated with bruises, dislocations and sprains) and fever in case of colds and flu.

Posology

Administered doses vary depending on the person, age and clinical condition. Adults and children over the age of 12: take one or two tablets, 1 to 3 times a day. Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage of 6 tablets (1200 mg). TRIFENE® 200 should preferably be taken after meals.

Contraindications

Do not take this medicine if you (a) are allergic to ibuprofen, any of the components of the tablets, or other anti-inflammatory products commonly used for pain or fever relief; (b) have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, related to previous treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; (c) have an active peptic ulcer/haemorrhage or have a history of recurrent peptic ulcer/haemorrhage; (d) have severe heart failure; (e) are asthmatic; (f) have blood disorders; and (g) are in the last trimester of your pregnancy.
