Painkiller and anti-inflammatory for the treatment of pain and inflammation. Fast and lasting action (8 hours). For adults aged 18 years or older.

Indications

Trifene 400 is an Over-the-Counter Medicine solely sold at chemists and contains 400 mg Ibuprofen as an active substance. A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relives mild to moderate pain and lowers fever. Recommended for adults with mild to moderate pain, rheumatic and muscular pain, back pain, neuralgia, migraine, headache, toothache, menstrual cramps, fever and symptoms of cold and flu.

Posology

Adults: 1 to 3 tablets daily, administered orally. Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage of 3 tablets (1200 mg). TRIFENE® 400 should preferably be taken after meals.

Contraindications

Do not take this medicine if you (a) are allergic to ibuprofen, any of the components of the tablets, or other anti-inflammatory products commonly used for pain or fever relief; (b) have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, related to previous treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; (c) have an active peptic ulcer/haemorrhage or have a history of recurrent peptic ulcer/haemorrhage; (d) have blood clotting disorders; (e) have severe heart failure or have severe liver or kidney failure; (f) are pregnant or breastfeeding; (g) have chronic alcoholism; and (h) are under the age of 18 (unless Trifene 400 is prescribed by a doctor).
