Indications
Lidofon® are lozenges that act locally in the mouth and pharynx, as an antiseptic and analgesic. Each lozenge contains lidocaine hydrochloride (1 mg) and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride (5 mg) as active substances. Lidofon® is recommended for the treatment of sore throat, itchy and scratchy throat, pharynx and mouth disorders accompanied by irritation, such as sore gums, inflamed mucous membranes and oral thrush.
Posology/Instructions for Use
The recommended dose is:
- Adults: 6 to 10 tablets a day.
- Children aged 6 years or older: 3 to 5 tablets per day.
- Let the lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth.
Contraindications
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, lidocaine hydrochloride or any other ingredient. Children under the age of 6 years should not take Lidofon.
LIDOFON is an OTC medicine that contains 1 mg Lidocaine (hydrochloride) and 5 mg Chlorhexidine (dihydrochloride) as active substances.
